Decorative Gas and Lighting
The Warren Gas Group, of which Warren Mechanical Services are a part of, are the recommended installation and service contractor for SUGG Lighting. The Sugg name has been associated with gas and lighting since Thomas Sugg, who was an ironmonger, made and laid the gas pipes in London for the demonstration of gas lighting in 1807.
In 1837 his son, William, started a company that was to become one of the foremost manufacturers of gas equipment and particularly lighting, during the Victorian era, in the subsequent ownership of his son William Thomas.
For the Coronation of 1911 William Sugg & Co Ltd manufactured 'gas illumination devices', which included Flambeaux, to decorate major public buildings.
The re-introduction of Flambeaux had to wait until nearly the end of the 20th century with an entirely new appliance manufactured to modern day requirements with full remote control and capable of running on modern gas.

The modern Flambeaux appliance is designed to offer a spectacular, soft, open flame, capable of operating under a wide variety of weather conditions.
The Flambeaux range includes models for wall, post and pedestal mounting and can even be mounted in ponds.
All permanently installed models are supplied with full electronic remote control offering multiple start facility for poor weather conditions and flame failure control with repeat start.
On order to provide the maximum flexibility, the burners are available with a variety of flame sizes and a number of techniques are available to overcome difficult weather conditions.
The flame is a soft, quiet flame with plenty of colour even with natural gas. The size of the flame varies with the conditions and is available factory set to the relevant gas consumption.
The Sugg Flambeaux Range has been tested and certificated by the Advantica (British Gas) approvals testing division. It has been fully CE approved.
