Bathroom Installations Procedure
Installation of a replacement bathroom follows a fairly straightforward sequence, which is shown below. There are occasions where the plan may deviate slightly and there are periods of days when services in the bathroom may not be available. All other services around the house, heating, electricity and water will be made available for as much of the working day as possible, and always available after the working day has finished.
The sequence of events normally follows this well tried procedure:
- Strip out the existing bathroom.
- Hide all the pipework in walls or beneath the floor. Where necessary, make good and redesign existing pipework to fascilitate the design plan.
- Prepare the floor for the bathroom units and fittings.
- If required, install lighting and make good electrics where required.
- Tile and grout the walls and paint exposed areas that require decoration.
- Prepare and tile or lay the flooring material.
- Install the bathroom furniture.
- Make good any areas and polish bathroom furniture to showroom standard.
- Present the completed bathroom to the client.
